EXPERIMENT DAY! today we have bio-lit class in the second floor. Ms. Disty said we're going to have an experiment that is related about cell membrane and the movement. At first, we need to prepare all of the materials, such as beaker, water, salt, aluminium foil, and of course 3 slices of potatoes. Then fill the beaker with 100 ml of water. Fill the other beaker with the same amount of water, but we need to add 2 spoon of salt. Then put the potatoes slice into the beaker with water, with water and salt and the aluminium foil. Wait for about an hour and see what will happen next! We did present our stories to the other, and plus we got a free time!:)
Here's my observation:
#1 POTATO WITH REGULAR WATER:
-Hard
-Same texture
#2 POTATO WITH SALT WATER:
-Soggy
-Soft and mushy
-Size: shrinking
#3 POTATO EXPOSED TO AIR:
-Wrinkled texture
-Softer than the regular water
